Laura Nyro’s contribution to the pop music scene produced some of the more catchy tunes and endearing lyrics of the 60’s & 70’s. Stoney End is a great example of a song that Nyro composed and released herself in 1967 that saw even greater success when Barbra Streisand covered it in 1971 reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
