Linda Creed, who we lost much too early, created songs that went straight to our hearts. Her body of work was remarkable. Linda’s best known song, Greatest Love Of All, is one of the greatest songs ever written. Originally released by George Benson for a film on Muhammad Ali, the song saw even greater success when covered nine years later by Whitney Houston.
Earlier in Linda’s career, she was one of the key contributors to the Sound of Philadelphia. Linda wrote many incredible songs for the Spinners, Stylistics, and others.
Unfortunately, Linda’s life was much too brief as she passed away at a young age from breast cancer. Linda was certainly a gift and her music will always live on.
